There are certain games I want to play that I don't want to have the microphone captured and I don't want to keep turning it on and off before I start recording manually.

Uh, so you know how editing systems can let you add sound, crop, add text boxes, well yea I want that to happen with this system. Feels like people drift away from this because there is no good Editing.

This would be useful for recording dungeon and raids in ffxiv without having to record the entire session.

Could be useful for wanting to watch that "great run" or maybe you're making a video and you dont want to edit 3+ hours of footage.
