I might just be blind, but it seems it currently is not possible to start and stop the screen recorder with some sort of hot key. Being able to set custom keybinds to start/stop the recorder and to make bookmarks would greatly increase its utility.

I don't get it. You already had this feature a year ago. I was using it very well and one day you just suddenly removed it. Could you just bring that back? That worked perfectly fine and no need to change that.
