Feature Request: Automatic Highlight Detection for Destiny 2

Hello Outplayed Team,

I would like to submit a feature request for automatic highlight detection in Destiny 2, which I believe would significantly enhance Outplayed’s value for both casual players and content creators.

At the moment, Destiny 2 does not support event-based auto capture in Outplayed, meaning players must rely on manual clipping and often miss their best moments. Introducing automatic highlights—similar to what exists for other supported titles—would make capturing gameplay moments effortless and far more rewarding.

Suggested highlight triggers could include:
  • Kills, multi-kills, and extended kill streaks

  • Super activations, Super shutdowns, and multi-kills with abilities

  • Team wipes, clutch plays, and last-player-standing survivals

  • Objective captures, last-second saves, and comeback moments

  • Boss finishes, raid or dungeon encounter completions, flawless or no-death runs

  • Environmental kills and physics-based eliminations

  • Funny or unexpected moments detected through sudden audio reactions

  • Match-ending final blows, victory screens, and post-game celebrations

Adding these highlights would:

  • Reduce reliance on manual clipping

  • Help players automatically preserve memorable and funny moments

  • Encourage content creation and sharing on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Discord

  • Make Outplayed more competitive with AI-based clipping solutions

Destiny 2 has a large, highly engaged community across both PvP and PvE, and automatic highlight detection would be an extremely impactful addition for this player base.

Thank you for your time and for continuing to improve Outplayed. I appreciate the work your team does and hope this feature can be considered for a future update.

Kind regards,
Marco Hallauer
