Currently, recordings that include microphone audio are captured as if I have an open mic and this picks up background noise which I would rather not have in the recordings.
As a user, it would be helpful if it only recorded the mic audio when a button was held (push to talk). It would also be helpful to have a voice activity option so that it would only capture mic audio when the user talks. I have attached a picture from Discord's UI as an example of these types of options.
multiple audio streams should be easy to do. one mixed stream as it is right now, for watching, and one with just desktop/just mic. The file size difference is negligible.
I believe It would actually be better if they seperated the microphone input and desktop audio into seperate channels.
That way we can process the audio if needed using plugins of our own via a video editor.
