OBS, a freeware and competitive software, already supports HEVC (x265 or H265) recording with NVIDIA NVENC very well. In a situation where video with higher resolution than 1080P is starting to become more and more mainstream, HEVC codec support is a very important factor in video quality. It is much more free than the H264 codec in terms of capacity. I hope that HEVC codec will be supported one day soon.
