I play on ultrawide (21:9); Valorant adds black boxes to the left and right sides of my screen for competitive fairness. Outplayed, unfortunately, records my footage with the black bars on either side of the screen.
A feature to record the screen region during recording OR a crop feature in the editor would fix the issue. You can find further details here:

I have tried using fullscreen, I have tried the "stretch to fit 16:9" feature, etc. The problem resides in the fact that the game process includes black bars on the left and right sides of my screen no matter what, so the only fix I can think of is to record a specific screen region (like in OBS) or crop the recording after it's been recorded.
Thanks!
Please fix. This has been brought up many times in many places online, not sure why it's suddenly like not a thing when we were told to come here and make this post....
Cropping it doesn't work when the app squeezes the footage and then adds the black bars... there's no way to undo the squeeze. It's a major issue.
Thanks for the feedback, you can use the editor to crop the footage. Select a 16:9 aspect ratio for the project, and "Fill" for the clip crop options.
